Question by fierce*flawless: What is the best health care field career choice with the simplest difficulty level for college courses?
I’m asking for someone else. She is 30, with 2 kids, high teach dropout (GED), wanting to go back to teach for an Associate’s degree and thinking of something in the health care field because the pay is excellent.

She isn’t much of a “people person” or outgoing. She likes to work with her hands and fix things and would probably prefer something like carpentry but doesn’t want to struggle in a “non-traditional” field being female. She’s worked as a cashier, cleaning houses, and as a truss builder for a roof truss company. She is something of a “Ms. Fixit”.

She’s thought in this area forensics just because she finds it cool but isn’t sure she can hack the schooling. Same with X-Ray tech… honestly, all the anatomy and chemistry and such will be challenging for her.

So what other choices are there? Dental Lab Tech? Optical tech? What’s going to be the simplest for someone who has more common sense than book smarts? Looking for a starting salary of at least $ 25k a year (US).

How in this area health check billing or coding? or maybe surgical technologist. These all require some anatomy but not too much. I know in this area this because I am currently in teach for health check assisting and the teach I attend offers all of the degrees I mentioned so I know students in those fields.
