You don’t have to go to a four year college to become a hair stylist. You can attend cosmetology teach which is probably 6 to nine months depending on the program.

In order to work as a hairstylist or cosmetologist, one must be licensed by the state in which you want to work. In order to become licensed one must have graduated from a state-licensed barber or cosmetology teach and be at least 16 years ancient. Some states require graduation from high teach while others require as small as an eighth grade education.
Cometology courses can range from 6-8 months long depending on the speed of the program in your area.
