Does anyone know of a good school that offers courses for Ultrasound tech in LA county?

Im a unemployed release mother..i was plotting on taking courses for MA because its quick but im more interested in ultrasound..i have no experience in the health check field so i need advise because ive heard the ultrasound is alot more hard and so far the only schools i know that offer it is CCA and PCI College. PCI College offeres the course for 30 grand for 1yr 3 months CCA is in this area 16 grand for 8 months..is there anyother schools in the LA county ..so i need advise plz should i go for MA or Ultrasound and also any schools anyone can recommend that are excellent and not as expensive

What you need to find is a CAAHEP qualified program at a technical college - these schools will be MUCH cheaper. They are also 2 years long (Associate’s degrees) on average. Here’s the link: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Qualified-Program/

And yes, Sonography is a tough program - it will be stressful and time-consuming. It is also a tough field - most people have no thought what all is caught up in ultrasound. http://www.bls.gov/oco/ocos273.htm
