Question by mr.chosop: How can I pay for CompTIA A+ certification?
I want to get A+ certified, but I really just don’t have the $ 168 to take the exam (i’m in high teach). Is there any sort of financial aid or anything to take it? I’m interested in getting a job at geek squad and i also reckon it would look incredible on college resumes.

My high teach had a program with a technical institute that let us dual-enroll in both H.S./Technical. I took A+ and I got certified at the end of the year, just like you are aiming for in my junior year. The teach should have a discount, 50% to be exact, IF your instructor is a CompTIA member. You will only need to pay $ 75 if you get the discount. You can apply for local scholarships that award small amounts of money to students like you.

By the way, Geek Squad is looking for experience only, with more than just a plain A+ certification. Believe me, I tried already, and I have more than the entry level certification.

I don’t know what teach system you are in, but try out with the HQ of your teach system. They may supply financial aid if you question. I did that. I contacted my chancellor/superintendent and she sent me a form called “Neediest Kids” and they cut me a try out for 586.00 for my 2 A+ tests and my CCNA test w/ additional study material. Try it

(BY THE WAY I AM IN DC PUBLIC SCHOOLS)
