whats the difference between college of Letters and Science and College of Engineering For Computer Science?
Question by Doboy: whats the difference between college of Letters and Science and College of Engineering For Notebook Science?
I got in berkeley for the teach of Letters and Science but my friend got in College of Engineering, for the same major , notebook science. Is there a difference in the schools which one is better? i heard that they have the same courses but just uncommon graduation criteria. I beleive we got into the uncommon schools because of our college application we choose the major in the uncommon schools of berkeley. And how hard/simple is it to transfer form one teach to a further with the same major?

According to the Berkley web site, it looks like the L&S CS major requires more humanities and social sciences classes and gives you a BA degree. But and the Engineering teach CS program requires more engineering classes gives you a BS.

Your major courses will be the same as those of your friend. In fact, the major itself is probably educated out of one teach or the other. Everyone in CS takes the same classes from the same professor. The difference, as you said, is in your graduation requirements for the university.
For example, at many schools, when you’re in the college of engineering, you’d need to take extra science classes, and would not need to take a foreign language. You’d probably also need to take fewer liberal arts classes in general. In the college of arts and sciences, you might need to take fewer science classes, and you would need to take a foreign language and more liberal arts classes. But this may vary by university, so your best bet is to really talk to Cal and question them the differences. You’ll also need to question them in this area the ability to transfer from one college to a further, should you want to do so.
It won’t matter to hiring managers, when you graduate. You’ll both get jobs, as you are both coming out of the CS program at Cal, which is considered to be one of the best in the US. Your being in the college of arts and science and him being in the college of engineering is immaterial.
You probably will have less classes in your major, and will get free electives as well as more humanities/arts requirements. It is certainly not worth as much, but will be simpler and you may possibly probably even graduate a semester earlier than with the engineering one. I would recommend transferring to the engineering one.
