Question by its a secret: what courses/classes should i take in college to become and ultrasound tech?
also known as sonographer. i've done some research and learned that classes such as biology, anatomy, and chemistry are required. is that true? i've got 2 years of chem from high school. what are classes should i take or that i need to take. i would like to specialize in doing ultrasounds with babies. can i be that specific in looking or applying for a class, are there certain classes i need just to specialize in that branch. or is it all the same course. sorry i'm sounding confusing i just want to get all the details in. i want to get my bachelors degree with this. please help me!? i've done some researc but i really just wanna get to the point and know the required classes.

First and foremost, you have to find an accredited Sonography program to go through (see link). Once you do so, you can contact the school and they can tell you their specific requirements for applying to the Sonography program. You can't just guess which classes to take - each program varies slightly, so you need to base it on the program you're aiming to get into.

To do obstetrics (babies) you have to go through a general sonography program (aka Diagnostic Medical Sonography) which involves all of the body except the heart. There are not many bachelor's degrees out there, because it just isn't necessary. An associate's degree is completely sufficient and by far the most common.
