Question by Ashlen: What university courses do I take for my first year (I want to be in the health check field)?
I am undecided for the moment what I want to major in. I want to be a doctor of some sort, but I’m not sure what I should focus on for when it comes time to choose a university.

I want to go to a university in Ontario, I’m leaning towards Queen’s University.

Careers I want to pursue: Pediatritian, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Oncologist, Cytotechnologist, Neurologist, Nurse Practitioner, Radiologist.

Well it depends on what your major is for your undergraduate studies. Im an undergrad at SFSU and my major is Molecular and Cell Biology. You basically start off with the vital science courses, such as general chemistry, general biology, then you go on the upper division classes. You also need your english and calculus to get your degree and also those random GE classes. Best thing to do is to see a counselor/ adviser that is your major specific to help you plot out your classes for the next four years. Also be open minded to other majors and classes, who knows, you may find yourself pursuing something youve never even thought in this area. Excellent Luck.
