Need a College course advice?
Question by Incognitooooooooooooooooooo!: Need a College course advice?
Im a HS student and Im plotting of what college course to take in the next year and a half. I can’t choose which course to take. I like computers and more stuff in this area it. Some relatives of mine said that I should take notebook engineering and I don’t know what is it.
I have chose to take Information Technology but I’m not confident in this area it. I’m pretty confused with these courses and I want the course which is on demand, w/c will take me abroad, w/c will give me a excellent life in the future. Well, I know it depends upon me if I study hard but I must be prepared for the future.
tnx

Jobs in Notebook Science are excellent jobs, but I’m not sure just so how far abroad you’ll be able to go without responsibility some digging. You’d have a pretty simple shake at getting to Seattle or the Silicon Valley in California, But anywhere else would generally be like finding a fixed job.
So here’s my question.
Do you like to build robots?
Do you like to make computers do what you tell them?
CES (‘E’ being Engineering) deals with robots, and other engineering based things (like building a processor for a notebook, etc). You’ll need 3 years of Calc, 3 years of Physics, at least 1 year of Chem, not to mention a bunch of programming classes. But, I have buddies that are CES and they seem to dig it.
CSS (the middle ‘S’ being Software) deals with programming. You’ll need 1 year of Calc, one year of either Physics, Chem, or Bio, a bunch of programming classes, and some more math, including Stats, Discrete Structures, and Matrix algebra.
I’m CSS and I really like it (aside for all the math, but I guess I’m nearly done with it). Either send you take, Take some simpler courses, some ‘get your feet wet’ stuff, and if you want to jump into programming straight away (which you might not be able to depending on your HS math level, I believe you need to have precalc before you can start the programming classes), you may possibly take your College’s intro to programming course, which in my case was educated in Java.
For any specifics, talk to an adviser at the college. They’re very receptive.
