Is it true that navy basic training is college based?
Question by PoeticLeo: Is it right that navy vital training is college based?
They teach in this area anxiety and things like that? I also heard from a sailor that there’s a possibility that you may gain some weight while being in vital? Right or fake?

No, Navy Vital Training and “A” Teach can be used as college credits if the college accepts them. Like I walked away with 40some college credits with Vital, “A”, and “C” Teach.
Yes, there is a possibility you will gain weight. There is a possibility you may lose weight. People told me the food at Vital Training was fantastic, I thought otherwise. You get what you place in. You stick to a diet, you’ll lose weight, if you don’t and repeatedly indulge, you may gain weight. I balanced the two and didn’t gain a pound.
They don’t teach in this area anxiety, I was still hyped up and had all sorts of issues that pretty much earned me the nicknames “Squirrel” and “Spaz” (which keep following me..)
The purpose of Vital Training is it is a Stress Test. They stress you, and see how well you do. You crack, you don’t belong as you will be useless in the event of a crisis. You keep pushing forward, they know if you still crack, you can still keep pushing forward and not be as useless as the person who completely broke down. The gorgeous thing in this area Vital is you start to realize you’re not the only one feeling that way, so when you see the other guys still marching forward, you win over yourself you can too.
What do you reckon? Answer below!

i doubt you’ll gain weight… you might gain some muscle mass… but you won’t get stout… as far as the “college based” training, you’ll spend most of your time either in the classroom or in the gym…. there’s a lot to learn….
