Question by Shana: I have a health check condition and have to take my college courses online, is a new notebook tax deductible?
I have a health check condition that makes it very hard for me to travel and take courses traditionally. In order to end my degree, I am taking the classes I need online. If I get a new notebook specifically for this purpose, is it a tax write off?

This is very vital as I want to get a excellent one soon while the prices are reasonable.

It would only be deductible if the teach required it. They don’t.

No the notebook will be a private expense and will NOT be deductible on your accurately completed 1040 income tax return at all.
