Question by Knightz: How can I be a health check Doctor if I am taking up Information Technology, but I have subjects like chemistry?
Hi im jurelle and a college student taking up BS in Information Technology, Ever since I was a child I always wanted to become a Doctor but being practical in life I enrolled in a notebook course which my mom wants me to take. Can I enter in a health check teach though I did not entered a pre-med course? I have science subjects in my contemporary course that are Physics and Chemistry.

Yes. You don’t need to technically major in anything in specific to attend health check teach - you just need to do well on the MCATs. In your case, really well, since you didn’t take the bio courses. And you’ll have a lot of catching up to do when you get there.

If you want to be a doctor, you be a doctor!
    Nevermind what anyone else says.

Your mother should respect your interests and I would if I was your mother.
I would want you to live your life that way you feel you need to.

I wanted to be doctor once, and I know that you need to be studying sciences.
Your college can help you to get the courses you need to get for this objective to be met and then get your courses so that you can acsess health check teach.

Trust me, being a doctor is far more practical than using computers. Your saving peoples lives and stopping thousands suffering pain.

You need to make an appointment with the guidance counselor at the teach your are attending. The Health check field is diverse and you need to explore where in the branch of medicine where you want to be. Your questions will be answered.

The answer is yes and no. You need to try out each health check teach’s science requirements. Most schools only want the basics, but they don’t want the very vital sciences. Most schools will want:

    Two semesters of physics
    Two semesters of general chemistry
Two semesters of biology (one micro and the other zoology)
    Two semesters of organic chemistry

There are minors that have these science courses integrated into them, allowing you to get your degree and not spend too much time working courses outside of it. Try out the health check schools that you reckon you want to go to, and see what they require. Believe it or not, health check schools want diversity, and having a uncommon major than the flood of biology majors is a excellent thing.

Keep up the faith man, I’m working my way headed for the same direction.

As long as you have enough science credits (which depend on the med-teach’s requirements), you can be admitted.
