Answer by Air Force DEP’er
As soon as possible. Because won’t you rank up quicker if you’re completing a lot of classes. Also it’s nice to get it done quick… At least that’s my opinion. And you may possibly even go to OTS once you get your degree and be an officer.

I say the best time to start taking classes is with your CDC’s and upgrade training to a 5 level. Also classes look excellent for your end year report or EPR. Every year your supervisor will grade you on your mind-set, performance, volunteer work, and classes, which will earn you a 5 on a EPR, the highest you can get. Also, if you like to know more, once you get a supervisor, set down with him/her and find out when is a excellent time to start classes and places to go to, they can top you to the right direction.
Your supervisor will have to sign your Tuition help paperwork. They will not approve you taking classes in anticipation of you have completed your CDCs and upgraded to your 5 cleverness level.
In anticipation of that time they want you to focus on studying for your job.
Plot on somewhere around the end of your first year in the service, maybe a small later.
Generally from 6 months to a year with you report to your first duty assignment.
You have to end your 5 level upgrade training first.
IE:
CDC’s — career development courses ( reckon advanced self study Tech Teach )
OJT- on the job training, where your supervisor trains you do do every specific task required by your AFSC at that duty station and then signs you off on each task, when you have shown that you know how to do the task.
NOTE: Tech Teach will NOT teach you how to do all of your job, it will give you the knowledge necessary to do the vital parts of the job and to be able to be educated the rest of the job.
