well, depends on what you mean by “larger.”
As i’m sure you’ve seen, there are football players who are gigantic, and quite stout as well. But the thing is, most of them are tall, so their fatness doesn’t really make a huge difference to anyone.
I suppose it wouldn’t look weird if you were to go into an Athletic Training major if you are at least tall, and know and like at least one sport really well. Even if you’re not the most hardcore exerciser out there, it probably won’t be a huge deal, because you’ll probably learn so much that you yourself will eventually start responsibility what you’ve learned.
Otherwise, I’d say if you’re small and stout, and don’t play or like sports, don’t even try it. I mean, if you’re this kind of person, why would you even deliberate going into Athletic training?

Who cares what other people reckon? Do what you want to do, but unless you get into shape you may have distress finding a job or finding clients. You have to practice what you preach.
Hey, Corey. I would recommend this but ONLY with you have had a full checkup by a doctor. I mean a full try out up. If you are overweight and at college age, you may possibly have some additional problems with your heart and lungs. I am hoping you are only a senior in high teach and not already in college. I have seen too many coaches get too rough with the overweight guys and run them mentally and physically to the death. Get checked out now before you get into athletic training. Get healthy before you get into the huge stuff and it will be a whole lot simpler…and fun.
