Question by S. H. Collins: Which is better: Notebook Science of Information Technology?
Well, I’ve been caught in between. I need to pick one among these two for my first choice in college. And as from what have I researched before, ComSci is somewhat grown-up and IT is the newer one (sorta like that XDXD). I questioned my notebook instructor (who is a ComSci grad) and she said that ComSci is better. And I don’t know which one is better but prior to this ComSci-IT mix-up, I made up my mind to take up IT. But what I really want is notebook programming and web developing, and I want a course which tackles both of them, and I reckon that the said courses has them, I just don’t know which one is better.

So, to place it simply, which course will enable me to take up both notebook programming and web developing: ComSci or IT?

Thankies nyaa~^^

  1. Daniel G says:

From my understanding, IT is just a weak form of Notebook Science. Notebook Science is more towards studying algorithms and theory, with some programming. If you want only the programming, I’d suggest software engineering.

That’s like asking if you should take biology or physics. CompSci and IT are two uncommon filed, on isn’t an grown-up version of the other. Programming (web development is programming) is CompSci. IT isn’t programming.
