Question by lanashadej: Does the Army National Guard Split Training for college students?
I have been taking into account joining the military since my junior year in high teach. But, my grandma didn’t approve of it and I was in her house so I didn’t get the opportunity to do it then. Now I’m making up my mind to do it… I just don’t want to have to miss out on any teach. I’m here because I was wondering if the army national guard offers split training for college students. Any answers will be very helpful.

Yes. I joined with my Freshman year of college in NCCU as a split option student. I went to vital in may graduated in August and returned for AIT the next summer. Never missed any teach. If you join now you will drill with your unit and during next summer you will go to vital and a year later AIT. You also do the SMP program with the guard with you complete AIT. That program allows you to be a member of the Guard and ROTC. More money for teach and a career as an Officer. ROTC is excellent but fixed being a fixed guardsman makes college life simple. I never looked back and the guard is paying fro my Masters at UDC. Best of luck.
