I’m wanting to join the Army Reserves as a MP in college, I have a training question?
Question by Jeremy: I’m wanting to join the Army Reserves as a MP in college, I have a training question?
I want to join the Army Reserves as a MP my junior year of college. And I really want to do the Split op program were I can get my vital and AIT during the two summers between teach. But I see that Military Police training is 19 weeks of One Station Unit Training (OSUT). Can I split that up between two summers? Or does it have to be taken all at once? Thankfulness any comments will be appreciated!

Yes you can do split op as a college student. It doesn’t matter if it’s OSUT or not. I was split op Infantry back in 89 and I just joined an OSUT unit that had just completed vital and joined them for AIT. Also look into the National Guard. Same training, duty and benefits but the Guard typically offers better educational benefits than the Reserves.
