Question by UnderCOv: If I join the Air force, can I go to college before joining? And do I have to take a specific study to do so?
I’m thinking in this area joining the air force. But i’m only in HS and I can’t go to a college that trains me to be an air force officer and flight teach for a pilot. So, can i go to any college or do I have to take a specific major to join the air force with college? And, would it change anything if I took Air force ROTC?

You can go to college before or with you join the Air Force. You can also be in college during your military career; my brother is a Marine reserve and he still goes to college but he also has his job being a Marine. You don’t have to study a specific thing, they’ll teach you everything in your specified tech teach with you graduate vital training. If you did Air Force ROTC during college, the only difference would be that you graduate college as an officer in the Air Force instead of starting out as an Airman or Airman First Class [A1C] with you graduate vital training.

  1. Ross says:

If you want to be an enlisted man, you can join the air force with high teach.
If yow want to be an officer then you can:
    1) win an appointment to the air force academy. In this area 20 possible majors are available.
2)go to a college that offers afrotc. At most colleges more than 20 majors are available.
With either of these on graduation for the academy or college a cadet is commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the air force.
    The other option is
    3) earn a 4 year degree and then apply to OTS (air force officer training teach.) If successfully completed, a candidate is commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the air force.
    A excellent explanation of afrotc:
