freshman for high teach?
well, all I have to say is work hard throughout your high teach year.
-get excellent grades. aim for atleast 3.6
-take AP classes or honors classes you are interested in to show
that you are willing to challenge yourself
-get excellent ACT or SAT scores, for ACT aim for 30 or higher. (getting those practice ACT books help alot)
-do volunteer activities.
-join many clubs, even become president of some clubs
-delight in the experience.
Many schools base scholarships
on ACT/SAT scores, gpa’s, and the essay you submit for admission.
As long as all three of these are awesome,
then you’ll have a opportunity for scholarship.
You may even want to try out those teach’s sites to see the scholarships that they have to offer,
and what the requirements are.
other things you can do to get scholarship is:
-go onto websites like fastweb.com to look for them
(most of them are for seniors in highschool and above,
but there are some for younger people, so might as well get
a head start on looking and applying for those)
-as mentioned above,
question your counselor in this area it to see what opportunities there are for scholarships.
excellent luck!
p.s.
Writing and speaking skills are vital.
You want to improve these skills throughout high teach and beyond!
