Question by lauren: are all boarding schools considered “college preparatory” schools?
for my junior and senior years in high teach, i will most likely be attending a boarding teach. it is a very excellent teach, but it’s no blair academy. i am just wondering whether or not ALL boarding schools are what would be considered college preparatory schools? if not, what just so is the difference?
thankfulness, in advance, for all helpful answers.

In the US, there are 3 general types of boarding schools: high teach that is college prep, junior high teach usually leading to a high teach college prep boarding teach, and theraupeutic. The theraupeutic teach handle high schoolers with problems such as drug addiction, alchoholism, etc.

There are some boarding schools that focus on specific learning disabilities. Are you going to a teach like that? In general, these are college prep schools as well, but might not be if they focus on severe disabilities. There are also a few boarding schools that focus on specific sports or the arts.

Some college prep schools also have sub-programs for specific learning disabilities like dyslexia. They are still prep schools.

I’ve answered your question as best as I can without knowing the teach you plot to attend. I suspect it is college prep.

    Excellent luck!
