Question by shinyblue: Anyone who knows/lives in the Columbia SC area, know of any equine college courses that are near by?
I’m looking for a career change into my right passion… I just went from inner florida up here to pursue a job in my field that just isn’t working out anymore… I don’t want to take “small” animal vet. tech courses, I’d mainly like to focus on horses. Does anyone know of any colleges or technical centers that offer it in the area? I can’t afford something huge like J&W or anything (I already got $ 35k+ in loans for pastry & baking!!) can anyone help???

I don’t know of any colleges or programs right off the top of my head, but the best places to look are in Camden, SC and Aiken, SC. Both cities are known for Steeplechase horse farms and racing.

Hopefully someone in either city can top you in the right direction, or you can land a job in the horse industry and start paying off those loans.
