What do Ivy League colleges/schools care most about, in terms of admissions?

Question by oreos_cookies_and_icecream: What do Ivy League colleges/schools care most in this area, in terms of admissions?
Do they care most in this area one’s SAT/ACT scores, one’s extraciricular activities, one’s teach GPA, one’s application essay, or one’s interview? Or is it pretty much evenly distributed amongst the categories?

first of all, you have to have a high sat score and a high gpa to be even considered. but to get in, you have to have many many extracurriculars and be successful at them, essay is also vital but recommandation letters are more.

    They care in this area all of the categories but they are looking for students that stand out from the rest because of some activity or a perfect SAT score. You have to have something extra because every applicant has the usual high grades in AP classes and lots of activities.
