Question by felasioo: I want to become a pharmacist, can I achieve this by going through college or must it be University? Courses?
Right now I am taking chemistry which im not that bad, Math which im really good at, Biology, and physics which I love most but im terrible at it. Is pharmacy right for me. Im guessing these are the right courses that will lead me into a pharmacy career or maybe pharmacology or toxicology? Do I really need a social science such as anthropology,or psychology because I don't have one, So am I too late? What kind of math is required to become a pharmacist, should I be taking data managment, calculus and such or college math is fine?
I will also be taking Pre-Calc
After im through high school, what should I be looking into College or University.

Look at the Pharmacy program that you would like to attend. They will have a list of prerequistes for you to get in the program. Then tailor your current program to that.

Pharmacy is right for you if you love it. Work as a pharmacy technician for a whlie and observe the pharmacists. Walgreens usually hires people off the street for techs.

Depends on what kinda work you wanna do and how much you wanna earn right off the bat. If you’re just going to get an Associates or something at a 2-year college, you won’t be earning as much or sound as prestigious as those who have a Master’s or Ph.D in a branch of pharmaceutical studies.

You’re on the right track, though I’m not perfectly knowledged about that right classes to take. Look through the requirements for your college. I think you may not need to go up to Calculus, but maybe you’ll need more sciences like psychology, anatomy, physiology, and definitely biochemistry.

You just need to complete your prepharm reqs and get some pharmacy experience. I recommend that you pharmacy tech if you can however most students either volunteer or work as a clerk.
