Its a little confusing to me. Are courses 1 semester each? or does it take 2 semesters to complete a course? What if the college does things in terms of quarters?

one semester
there can be two parts
ex. organic chemistry 1, and 2. each is a semester long

I don’t know about other schools, so I’ll just speak for mine.
At my school, all courses are only 1 semester each (about 15 weeks). There is a fall semester from August - December, a spring semester from January - April and an optional Summer semester from May - August.
