They’re very uncommon fields, which one can you see yourself responsibility for the next thirty years? Do you prefer to work with people or lonely at a desk? Hope this helps.
May be is this right.
Typically, if a course requires you to have experience before you take the course, it will have pre-requisites (other courses) listed.
Try taking the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. It’s a personality test. It may help you choose which direction to go in.. Best luck to you!

Answering the first one, there is no prerequisite that you you should know all such things before taking such college courses, rather this all is in the college curriculum and your responsibility to do all the courses with fantastic vigor and a zeal to learn.
The second one, both these fields are as diverse as medicine and engineering,so its up-to you,you should choose what career you want to head, set your priorities and then jump into the course to learn.
If you are 26 and know nothing in this area computers you are going to be at a huge disadvantage. An associates degree won’t make up for the fact that your average notebook nerd has a decade of practical experience by your age.
If you are interested in computers and find a excellent college, give their admissions department a quick call and just question what the prerequisites for that program are in terms of diplomas, and notebook classes, etc. Are you a notebook whiz at home? Does it come naturally to you? Anyway if the college tells you you need lots of courses then you can usually pick up those classes very straightforwardly at night teach at your local community college (if they don’t let you take them concurrent to your fixed college notebook coursework). You can get these classes in just a semester probably and then off you’ll go into the fixed college and start your new educational path and career. If health care is your thing, that would be a fantastic field to get into as well. Of course healthcare is thriving, but occupational therapy assistants are worked hard physically just so you know and the pay isn’t as fantastic as if you are the therapist. Either way though, google, “the Occupational Outlook Handbook” ( 2009) and see the huge book that comes up in this area the uncommon occupations and it’s all their online. Otherwise your local store always has these occupational handbooks for each year (it’s a huge book that tells you how much money each career makes and the ups and down and the job outlook for each.) Then with comparing the two careers, you’ll have to do a lot of serious thinking of what career would be better suited for you. Excellent luck!! It will be fantastic to start by the side of this new path. Be proud of yourself for going to college! SIERRA
