Its ok, but I dont reckon it would help (a lot) if you majored in psychology. It would be better if you major in pre-med or something correlated to that (ex. chemistry, biology, biochem etc….)
I reckon Stanford University is one of the combined colleges, but im not perfectly sure. I reckon UCLA is a further one.

Hello,
I hope that you choose to follow medicine as a career. It is an extremely rewarding career. Your choice of major as far as your undergraduate is not the most vital factor when it comes to studying medicine.
As a contemporary med student, the majority of my classmates have majored in english lit, biased science, history, and othre fields completely irrelevent to medicine.
I for myself majored in biochemistry. I found that my major really helped me in preperation for a heap of biology and chemistry correlated topics and classes.
As far as psych as your major, it is a very goor field if you ultimately want to practice in the fiekd, but it may not give you the best preperation for med teach classes.
I would definately lean towards a hard core science such as biology or chemistry.
All that aside, nothing is more vital when getting into med teach than your contemporary GPA and your MCAT scores.
Also, there is really no need to attend a comined teach for your undergrads and grad teach Most of the schools in your area should have an affiliation collectively and you should have no problem transferring your credits or degree to a new institution.
Above and beyond, the med teach you attend will not always be the one that is your 1st choice. If you get to attend your 1st choice med teach (luckay and very excellent), you will want to select your teach depending on the programs they offer for specialization.
This will be very handy once you are in your clinical rotations and internship. So find a teach with hospital affiliations who have a strong program in pediatry. You may even find that you want to attend med teach out of state.
Hope this helps a small
