Question by ←Shea→: Do you reckon taking college courses online is effective?
I am moving out of state and missed the application deadline at the new local college so I signed up for 5 classes online at my ancient/contemporary teach. I have never done that and I am worried I will slack or simply won’t learn as much. Does anyone have experience with online learning? Is it simpler/harder?
Serious answers only. Thank you so much.

I have taken numerous online courses and they can be just as effective as taking courses on campus. But, a person has to be dedicated to responsibility their work and not slack off on it, but honestly the same can be said for classes on campus. I liked my online courses and some of them were pretty challenging. It depends on the course but most of the time it is no better or no worse than classes taken on campus. Just work hard and do all the assignments.
What do you reckon? Answer below!

I took 1 1/2 years of typical brick and mortar residential college. I chose to take a break and work full-time. During that time period I enrolled in Thomas Edison State College which offers complete online degrees. I loved the convenience of the online courses. They do take dedication because professors aren’t going to chase you around to tell you that you missed class or an assignment. I loved that I didn’t have to sit and listen to a address and that I may possibly logon to classes when it fit my schedule. If you are a person that can teach yourself and keep up with the syllabus online courses are a fantastic thought.
Online classes are similiar to traditional classes in two ways:.1) If you place a lot into the course, you’ll get a lot of it, if you don’t interact much in the discussion area or keep up with your assignments and tests, you won’t learn much. 2) If you have a instructor who is a excellent communicator, is methodical, and gives fixed feedback, you’ll learn alot. If your instructor can’t write well, is disorganized, unfamiliar with the material or online software, you will have to work a lot harder to learn.
I’m taking my masters online, and administer some online programs, so this is what I’d reckon in this area before committing to 5 online classes (5 is a lot of classes no matter how you take them!)…we provide this checklist for students wondering in this area whether they should take online classes:

Excellent luck!
I really loved online classes. I didn’t have to site in a dull classroom..I didn’t even have to get dressed.. I was not real motivated which hurt me a lot..I had to force for myself. Take classes which you are interested in ..for me they were social work classes. If u are interested..they will b simpler..Don’t take courses that you struggle with in fixed univ..If u despise to write don’t take English 2 (research papers), etc. any course in which you might need a lot of help one on one..stay away from online…
