Question by harrygams: Notebook courses@Community college: What should I take that might make me employable, (in Jan. ’09)?
I can read, write, add, subtract, walk & chew gum. But alas, with spending time at home, my notebook skills only are excellent enough to allow me to frolic in Y!A. What marketable notebook courses should I take:
“Accounting fundamentals”,
“MS- Publisher, Powerpoint,, Access, Outlook, or Excel”
“Making Web Pages”
“Open Source Software” sounds fascinating
“Intro. to SQL” what is SQL?
“Intro to PC Troubleshooting” I have a Mac
“Spanish”
Oh, I’ve had college before, (English & accounting courses in distant past), & I live in Florida, if this info is helpful.
Thank You
Harry Gams

You aren’t going to be marketable with one course. Your best bet, but, would be to go to a tech teach (ITT or akin) to get specialty certification with Microsoft, Cisco, A+, Network+, or other industry certifications with specific hardware and software. You’ll be best with both certifications and a Bachelor level degree in an IT correlated field.
SQL is a database programming language.
