Question by Lloyd: Can I be a part-time university student while taking an apprenticeship?
I am taking into account taking up an apprenticeship as an electrician. But, those around me (including my mother) reckon that I should go to university, since I have the marks for it.

If I were to become an apprentice electrician, would it be a wise or at least viable thought to be a part-time university student as well? I will be focusing on business if I do take university courses.

The main thought is that I will complete the apprenticeship, but also eventually get a degree.
This is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Responsibility this will require a lot of work on your part - but if you are willing to do that, then why not? Many people go to teach while working full time jobs, and in the contemporary employment environment, I reckon it is a excellent thought to have options!
