Did anyone watch the whole game? I watch basketball like it’s a religion and I know there were questionable calls, and no calls on both sides but that happens in every game. My complaint is in this area Zoubek and Duke. Of course, I am a Tarheel so I watched the game closely. But also, I became a semi-fan of Butler and Gonzaga in this area 8 years ago when UNC missed the NCAA tourney and I needed a team or 2 to root for.
Now, Zoubek got taken out the game in the 1st half for alternative up 2 fouls. In the 2nd half he picked up 2 even quicker fouls, but somehow his previous 1st half fouls had disappeared. He refined the game with 4 fouls in the 2nd half, which if you included the 1st half he would have refined the game with 6 fouls. In College Basketball you get 5 fouls! Zoubek should NOT have been in the game to alter a drive by one of Butlers players, he should have fouled out with plenty of game left. I believe Butler got cheated and would have won this game and their first NCAA Championship. Does anyone else remember this?
**I watched the ENTIRE game, Zoubek had 2 FOULS in the first half and 4 FOULS in the second half, but his FIRST HALF fould disappeared, I figured people would be on this but nobody has been. I’m certainly NOT fabricating it, If I may possibly find a link to the game I would post it, if anyone has it recorded go back and look for it please. I promise you this DID happen. Otherwise I would not have posted anything.

I reckon you may be looking at his totals including both the first and second halves. Looking at the box score I see 2 in each half, so I do not reckon your conclusions are right. Butler was not cheated, and Zoubek was perfectly eligible to play in the last minute.

dude cool down if that were to ever happen in a game it would be an outrage and all over the news. stuff like that just doesn’t happen they keep excellent track of that stuff; im not even sure if that’s ever even happened it would be very hard to get away with it if they tried because the coach and assistant coaches and not to mention all the people at the desk table controlling the clock and keeping the stats would certainly notice and say something to the ref. It sounds to me like your just trying to make up excuses and try to rigg the championship for duke by trying to make it seem not legit. I didn’t want duke to win either but it was a excellent game and they won it honest and square. Take the loss like a man and be a excellent sport because duke did play a excellent game.
yeah, i do remember that. i am a butler fan, and i was mad in this area it because he did get 6 fouls and its not the nba, so he should have been out at 5 fouls. i guess its not just Pro refs that suck. college refs suck too!
Umm really mistakes do happen even something such as this…Im living proof…I picked up three quick fouls in one game during first half..which was odd..I average 1 darn foul a game..second half I picked up two more…I stood there waiting too hear that buzzard indicating I have fouled out..but because I have a reputation of fouling at low rate I can guarantee you this is the sole reason why everyone miscued. It wasnt in anticipation of later in the game that I had to foul again putting opponent on free throw line to extend the game that my 5th or should I say the six foul was charged to me. So all the score keepers and assistant coaches keeping track isnt always accurate..now Im not saying thats what happened in this fastidious game…but this does happen…so get that tape out and count his fouls..unfortunatley it wont change the outcome of the game though
