But my grades are not top notch, especial in maths.

Would nursing colleges look at the Certification and count it towards something at least or is it not really worth anything college wise and only excellent for jobs?

It is simply a job training certificate not very relevant to a college application. Go to a community college for prerequisite classes and work hard to improve your GPA. Excellent luck and God bless.
