You don’t need certifications before entering into a computer science major. Quite honestly by the time you graduate most of what those certifications focus on will have changed. Don’t waste your money on getting certified.

Instead why not enroll in the free online courses offered by colleges such as MIT and Stanford. That will help you a lot more than certifications.
