When would I do my basic training? Im a college student and I don’t want to have to drop out to do the basic training and miss out on a semester of school. When would i do training? And it says that reserves do one weekend a month of training..is this the boot camp or just to make sure you are up to date and in shape?

Finish college first. Boot camp is however many weeks (I think 13), then you train for your job in the Coast Guard…then you train the one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year.
Finish college, then apply to be an officer…Officer Candidate School SUCKS…but it is worth it.
