Question by Cubsfan8052: How to raise my GPA through college courses?
I am 22 and never attended any college of any kind. I wanted to enter into a Nursing college to become an RN but I can’t because I got a 2.36 high teach GPA. Is it right that in college you start off with a 4.0 GPA or does your high teach GPA cross over to community college. How many courses do I need to take to have even be considered for the nursing program’s 2.75 GPA requirement?

Your GPA starts over in college. That doesn’t mean you have a 4.0, that means you have the GPA you earn in those college courses, which may possibly potentially be a 4.0 - or a 0.0. How long you’ll have to stay in community college before transferring (or entering the nursing program at that CC) depends on the teach. You’ll have to question.

Once you enter college you get a blank slate. That high teach GPA is gone and won’t follow you anywhere. You don’t immediately start off with a 4.0. You don’t immediately start off with anything at all. If you do well in all your classes you can get a 4.0 for your first semester, and it’s a nice buffer to have when you take harder classes as the years go on.
A GPA isn’t determined by the digit of classes you take. You may possibly take just one class, get an A in it, and you’ll have a 4.0. What you should be looking at are the prerequisites for the nursing program. What classes do they require you to take before you can sign up? And how many credits must you have earned before you can apply? That sort of stuff.
