Free computer course material online on par with university courses?
I have a lot of free time these days but cannot afford to go to uni right now or subscribe to places like Open University. Just too expensive. I wonder if there are any free course material available online of an equal grade to these. It would be great to study free and then be able to take exams.

You can get Open University courses for free at either http://openlearn.open.ac.uk or http://open.edu/itunes/?req=http%3A//open.edu/itunes/&simigvis=MTUuNzYuODcyNjk1OTUyNTQxNy4xMjczNzc1NTgzOTYx*&refer=http%3A//www3.open.ac.uk/media/fullstory.aspx%3Fid%3D13805 . The major difference between the free courses and the ones you have to pay for is that there is no tutorial support or any actual teaching offered with the free courses. You have to teach yourself from the material provided although they do come with discussion forums so there is some 'wriggle room' when it comes to the possibility of getting help with stuff you're struggling to understand on your own.
