pre med is not a major or program; its simply a list of courses you need to take (and excel in) to be able to apply to health check teach; 1 year each of bio, gen chem, orgo and physics and at least a semester of calculus, by the side of with with more advanced bio courses if you really want to have a shot at getting in somewhere. no teach has a degree in pre-med, so by the side of with all those classes, you will need to take all the other courses required for the major you have (and even though many premeds major in bio, it doesnt make you stand out; the students that apply for med teach are the best of the best and you must stand out as fascinating). your gpa should be at least a 3.6 and your mcats should hover around a 30 (youll also need health check research under your belt to really get looked at by med schools; which you really wont be able to get into in anticipation of you complete more advanced science courses)
