Question by Bri..: Can you start a sentence with the word “Or”? University Essay - please help!?
I’m writing an essay for my portfolio for University. The part of the essay with this in it goes like this:

“Still the question remains: Is this the end of the world or the end of an era? Or, perhaps, it is just a trivial hoax.”

Is that grammatically correct? The university course is for Professional Writing, so I need to be sure. Thanks!

It is not grammatically correct, but if emphasis is needed, I do it anyway.
